#06 Nela

“The jellyfish, when at sea, seems to be made of light, seems mottled with rubies, sapphires, emeralds, amethysts.” Fabrizio Caramagna.

Feared, dodged but beautiful is the jellyfish. Nela’s delight moves as sinuously as the dancing tentacles. Resisting the enchantment is impossible and her head orbits in the magic of movement.

Bio

Nela is an actress and DJ born in Bosnia Herzegovina, who moved to Italy shortly before the war in the former Yugoslavia, but had difficulty settling in. She has always had a conflicting relationship with her father as she did not accept that he abused her mother. From an early age she felt the need to prove that she was as strong as a man. Her fixed thought is the ethnic rape that the women of her country have suffered and for this reason she has written a monologue of which she is very proud. Even though she didn’t want to, she was kidnapped from Rome but feels at home in every place where she has lived.
